The People’s National Party (PNP) has expelled controversial activist Karen Cross with immediate effect.
The decision was taken at Monday evening’s meeting of the party’s executive committee and came after months of trying to get the social media blogger to toe the party line.
In a statement following the meeting the party said: “The Executive Committee of the People’s National Party, having received and considered the report of the Disciplinary Committee, and in accordance with Section 260 of the Party’s Constitution, expelled Karen Cross from the party with immediate effect”.
The statement did not offer any reason why Cross was booted from the party which has been roiled by internal conflict for several years.
